Wix exposes dashboard custom code on a published site with a connected domain, with controls for applicable pages and placement. Choose all relevant pages and the head so the runtime starts early. This does not block tags, apps or embeds that execute independently; each still needs a supported consent policy, inert markup or conditional loader. These platform instructions were verified on 19 September 2026 and should be rechecked when Wix changes its dashboard or plans.

Wix and Usercentrics consent tooling
For new installations, Wix currently offers a Usercentrics for Wix banner; Wix says its former native banner is no longer available to new sites but remains configurable on sites that already use it. The current banner can gate listed Wix-managed integrations, but Wix expressly says it cannot guarantee control of every third-party app or custom-code item. Run one visible consent system, document how it hands choices to Wix-managed services, and verify custom code separately.
Common questions
Can I add custom code on a free Wix site?
Not through the site-wide dashboard custom-code workflow used for this runtime: Wix currently requires a published site with a connected domain, and connecting a custom domain requires an upgraded site. A free site can expose limited SEO verification tags, but those fields do not accept an arbitrary consent script.
